Novil Wijesekara, 2016 Development Fellow (Sri Lanka) is the founding editor of the International Journal of Community Resilience (INJCR) a platform for academicians, practitioners, learners, and policymakers to share, innovate, and debate on issues related to community resilience. Wijesekara is a medical doctor with a Doctorate of Medicine in Community Medicine, Master of Science in Disaster Management, Master of Science in Community Medicine, Post Graduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies and Foreign Relations, and Diploma in Human Rights and Peace Education. He focuses on community resilience, community engagement, disaster preparedness, and response, outbreak preparedness and response, environmental health and drinking water quality.
