Sohara Mehroze Shachi, 2019 Development Fellow (Bangladesh) has been selected to take part in The Atlantic Council’s 2020 Millennium Leadership Program. She is the Team Lead of the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Research Facility in Bangladesh where she manages original research on various emerging development challenges, such as the impacts of the fourth industrial revolution on jobs. Shachi has been working to enhance climate change resilience of vulnerable women living in coastal areas, improve access to international climate finance of the government, and increase transparency of national climate change expenditure. She is pursuing an MSc at the University of Oxford in Environmental Change Management.
