Jacob Leibenluft, 2006-07 Luce Scholar (Hong Kong) was named Counselor to the Treasury Secretary for the Biden administration. Leibenluft was recently a senior fellow at the Centre for American Progress, a research fellow at NYU School of Law’s Institute for Corporate Governance and Finance, and previously the deputy director for the National Economic Council during the Biden Administration among a number of other positions in the Obama-Biden White House. He spent his Luce year in Hong Kong at the South China Morning Post.
